Easter Sunday Calvin was the most excited for everything. He had been wanting Superman, Green Lantern and Wonder Woman since we got Batman and Joker from our local toy store last week. There were several tears since he didn't quite trust the Easter bunny would bring them this week, but he was quite happy to find them in his basket this morning. Addie got some new skirts and arts and crafts, clothes seem to be something that she loves to get now (maxi skirts are a favorite). After grandmama and granddad came up for breakfast we went to the beach to continue our tradition of launching the Easter eggs into the sound with a water balloon launcher. Addie enjoys flinging her eggs but Calvin preferred to toss his into the water himself so the crabs could eat them.

Easter weekend 2015
We seem to have some Easter traditions now in place with the kids. We go to Hiawatha egg hunt on Saturday at the community center (also where they go to preschool) and then have their friends over for egg dying in the afternoon. Calvin was traumatized at the egg hunt and I had to carry him for the 15 minutes we were waiting for the egg hunt to begin and then ended up dragging a crying child through the field do that I could get him at least a few eggs thinking that he may be even more upset when he snapped out of it and had no eggs to show for it. Luckily there were a few other parents dragging their crying kids along as well, a right of passage I guess. After the gg hunt was done he was fine and even wanted to go say hi to the Easter bunny with Addie. That afternoon we had 6 kids in total at the house, each year they need less and less supervision and can spend more time on crafts so dying the eggs took about 40 minutes and then they proceeded to play tag, go to the park, tear apart the kids room and play some video games.
