Swimming

We went swimming last night at the Y. It works well since Calvin can go in the baby room and Addie and I can go in the pool. We met a friend there who has a little boy Addie's age so we could have them be in the pool together which was great since they fed off one another (Addie would jump in and then he would). Addie LOVED it, which was different than a year ago. She jumped off the edge and went under water more than 30 times. She has already asked when we are going back to the pool. I am hoping that once she learns with me we can get her in the swim lessons at the Y year round.

The only down fall was in the locker room she kept asking "what's that" as she watched people changing and kept asking what the man next to us was doing (it was a woman)...next time we change at home.

Poor Addie

Addie got a new carseat, a booster so Calvin could take her old big carseat. As you can see the main problem is that the booster has no head support so of she falls asleep she ends up hunched over. We tried to wake her up do she would sleep when we got home and this is the look we got..... Poor thing.

Maple Before and After

Since the snow hit I have been organizing some of the photos on the computer and ran across a bunch of pictures of Maple when we first bought it and the pictures that we used to rent the house out. What a difference sweat equity makes (and help from family and friends). Thanks to all of our family who helped transform this over the years. The new tenants are a family of 4, a 4 year old little girl and 2 year old boy. They have been great tenants so far and I am sure they are enjoying all the improvements that we had made.

Snow Days

We have gotten quite a bit of snow lately which means that the city shuts down and the sleds come out. Addie is at the age now where she enjoys sledding on the small hills and Calvin can sit on his own so we even stuck him in the sled to go for a quick run down the street. We met up with a few of our friends who have kids Addies age to go sledding at a school that is a few blocks from our house, Addie really enjoyed going down the hill, but Calvin stayed off the sled for that part, maybe next year.

Catch up

Normally I take quick pictures with my iPhone and post them to the blog, but of course we still take pictures with our normal point and shoot and they usually come out nicer, there is just a delay to get them downloaded. I am sorry to say that over the Holidays the delay was pretty bad, so here are some pics of the family over Christmas and the weeks before. Enjoy!

Snow

It snowed today so we took Calvin out on the deck to get his first taste of snow. He seemed to like it and Addie enjoyed trying to catch a few snowflakes. It is starting to stick so we may go sledding in a bit if we get enough piled up.

Retribution

The xylophone that Luke made Addie for Christmas gets some aggressive play. We plan to give some noisy toys back to their little one as retribution.

Attitude or teeth?

Calvin has been far from a happy baby today, he has been screaming for a few hours on end. It seems to be the norm lately, I am hoping that he is getting his top 2 teeth an this isn't his personality.... Time will tell.

Say what?

I told Addie she had a bit of a yogurt mustache, she thought she had an actual mustache and got pretty confused. The confusion lasted so long it was still there after grabbing my phone for a quick picture.

Calvin the puffster

Calvins new favorite food are puffs. He eats them by the fistfull and gets around 80 percent on his mouth.
