The older the better

Calvin loves balloons and the one we have has aged a bit which is perfect for Calvin since it hovers in the air if you throw it but will stay on the ground... Pure joy for a one year old

Kitchen helpers

I went into the living room to vacuum and when I came back into the kitchen Addie was doing dishes and Calvin was emptying the cupboards.... Can't take my eyes off them for a minute. Now I get to mop up a pretty big puddle and treads some dishes, sweet.

These are a few of my favorite things

Well, not mine persay, but Addie's. Lotion, lotion and more lotion and anything that sprays. Here Addie is with sunscreen on, you can see she really likes to put a nice layer on. She does the same thing with body lotion. If she has access to a bathroom and gets quiet for 3 or 4 minutes she usually comes out slathered in lotion.... We have had to take it away and put it on high shelves. She also like spraying things like cleaning supplies and room freshener, last night she walked in the bathroom and came out complaining her eyes stung, when I smelled her I could tell she had sprayed the air freshener in her face (luckily it is a natural one and there was no harm done). I am trying to harnes the love for spraying into cleaning, so hopefully we can get some good out of it (don't worry, cleaning with a spray bottle full of water).

Beach Day

We took advantage of the sun today! Went for a walk on Alki and Addie complained she was cold so we turned around (this from a girl who wears shorts in the snow). We played in the sand for a while until the crows saw the buffet of Goldfish crackers the kids had left in the stroller and swarmed in for a party.

1 year just flew by

Calvin had his 1 year checkup this week, it is hard to believe it went by that quick. It is always slow in the moment and fast looking back. He is still in the 80th percentile for height so he will be pretty tall if this trend continues. He is a good eater, often eating better than Addie billy is starting to HATE naps and bedtime... I am hoping that is just a phase.

Poor thing

Addie got into her swimsuit after her nap to play outside with the water table... I told her it was too cold but after 15 minutes of tears I figure she can learn. She wants it so bad to be summer, it is 51 degrees today.

Calvins new fav

A new favorite of Calvin's is the trampoline. He has learned how to climb up all by himself and can stand up and grab the handlebars... So sometimes I walk into the living room after letting him crawl on his own for a minute and he beelines for the trampoline and is up there jumping before I even get there. I set up pillows all around the trampoline so when he falls it isnt too bad. He cant get down on his own yet, the only way he knows how involves a faceplant.
Of course Addie wanted a picture of her two ( with her "cheese" face).

The boys

After a long day the boys relaxed on the couch, Calvin with a bottle and Damien with a margarita.

Dr Addie

It was a doctor theme at school this week, Addie took the Little ER cart they have and gave her baby some shots and a band aid.
