Out for a stroll

We went for a nice long walk tonight along Alki to help Addie burn off some energy. Not quite the same as Hawaii but gorgeous nonetheless. 

Back in Seattle

Well Maui was great, plenty of friends, food and fun. But it is always nice to be home, especially considering that Addie was sick all last night. This morning we went for a nice long walk along the waterfront in West Seattle where Calvin wanted to go in the water... I think he is in for a rude awakening.

Maui Day 4

Last night we got to gout for dinner with Grandmama, Uncle Carson and the Kiwis and got a sitter for the kids. They had fun with the girl that watched them and we had a lively dinner on the beach. This morning we went to Baby Beach where there is no surf and the kids could run in and out of the water with us not worrying about them getting sucked into the surf. From there we had lunch at Hula Grill with Uncle Carson and ventured back for naps (where Calvin quickly passed out).... Uncle Carson added the beer bottle; what a good influence.

Maui Day 3

Well, the flight wasn't too bad and we got into maui around midnight Seattle time with Addie and Calvin staying awake the whole flight. They are sleeping with Grandmama which is a treat giving D and I some down time. We are at Kapalua on the golf course so the kids have pools o play in as well as grass to run in. Addie didn't nap on Friday so she ran all day and never slowed down. Today we have been in Cabana at the Ritz all day and the kids have enjoyed playing in their kiddie pool and then went for their first swim in the ocean. Both kids love the water and the ocean is no different. After lunch we went back in the pool and then the ocean where Addie proceeded to fall asleep on my moms shoulder (she hit a wall) while bouncing through waves. At first we thought she was just coughing from getting water in her mouth an the we realized her head had slumped and she was asleep in the water.... Never did I think I would need to worry about child falling asleep in the water. So Damien carried her back to the cabana where she and Calvin took a lovely nap. I will upload more photos when we get home, the iPhone hasn't been my primary camera.

Breakfast pancakes with sprinkles (and a burnt finger touching the candles) plus a birthday party at the Y made for a great day for Calvin's second birthday!

Summer is here

The past week has had great weather (for most, Addie pitched moving to Alaska to avoid the unbearable 78 degree days). We have been using the deck and the water table a lot and recently added a small wading pool. So, now the kiddos should be all set for the warm weather and summer (if it continues). But I must say I do like the fact Addie seems to take a nap most hot days.... Bring on the sun!

Doing the Dishes

Calvin's new favorite activity is washing the dishes... He doesn't get them too clean but has more fun than I do washing them.
