We had .....

We had one sucky weekend. Addie got some sort of stomach bug on Friday so we spent most of the day on the couch. Calvin got sick later that night and was fussy/not sleeping till midnight and then woke up every hour or two. Saturday Addie was better but still cranky and Calvin was fussy most of the day. Saturday night was a repeat of sleep for an hour or two, so by Sunday we were all cranky and exhausted. Damien took Calvin to urgent care Sunday night and nothing is wrong with him (except for a caugh/cold and getting 3 new teeth plus a fever). So he got a new bracelet to play with from the hospital and was still up most of the night last night... I am hoping he is on the mend (a girl can dream).

Art studio

Addie went to the art studio with her preschool group. She had to be dragged out kicking and screaming (it had been fun up to that point).

The pouf

I have been bringing home some prototypes from work to see how they work and if the kids like them. One is a pouf, Calvin seemed to really enjoy being up a little higher an Addie thought it was a nice thing to read on (and the she figured out it was more fun to jump on and off). But now I question calling it a pouf because it sounds a lot like poop when Addie says it :)

Bottle and beer please

Addie was at her grandparents for the night so we had the afternoon off (Calvin took a nice long nap). Damien read for a few hours and finished his book, I relaxed, and we topped it off with dinner out. We went down to Alki beach for some beer and fish and chips. Calvin did pretty well, he feasted on soda bread and watched some basketball.

Happy Valentines

Valentines Day is one of those holidays that I always remember fondly from when I was in school, what was better than making a mailbox out of a milk carton and getting candy? The candy seems to have been done away with (tattoos are the new hip vday gift) but the holiday is still a lot of fun. Happy Valentines Day (belated) from Addie and Calvin. Addie enjoyed giving Calvin heart shaped hats... Calvin enjoyed not having his mouth wiped after dinner (sorry for the messy baby).

The trampoline

We got Addie a trampoline for Christmas and never gave it to her since we had a lot of other presents... Then we were going to give it to her for her birthday but assembling it proved too much. Well, D finally assembled it last week and Addie really enjoys jumping. She drags it close to Calvin's bouncer so they can jump together. It has proved pretty cute, and good way to offload some energy.

Doctor doctor

Addie and Calvin had their 3 year and 9 month checkups together. They each bonded over shots, Addie got 1 and Calvin got two. As they both sat on the exam table I thought they looked pretty darn cute (cuter when Addie was smiling).

The perils of being a younger brother

We were at a friends house over the weekend and saw a doll size stroller, so, of course Damien thought it was only natural to stick Calvin in it. Of course Calvin loved it and Addie enjoyed pushing him around.... Calvin seems to love hamming it up for the camera; always smiling.

Superbowl

Last week was a long one with me sick and then Addies birthday and then my birthday and topped off with the Superbowl. We had a bunch of kids over to our house for the Superbowl, so the usual crazyness ensued. I managed to take a few pics of Calvin and Damien relaxing at the start of the game. Calvin seems to enjoy having his picture taken, he will smile at any sight of a camera.... it makes taking the pictures so much easier. We actually spray painted (with the hairspray paint) both Addie and Calvins hair; not becuase we are fans of one team or another, but rather for the fun of the game. You can see a touch of blue on Calvins little mohawk.
