Calvin is now styling his own hair...
Apparently Calvin can now untwist caps. He spent 3 minutes quietly in his bathroom this morning and came out with a hair full of white paste (and most of the tub now empty). Needless to say he got a shower this morning.

Riding into the sunset
Our kids still get lots of use out of Lucky the Horse! He was put out to pasture at the Y and plenty of kids love playing with him.

Independence for the Weaz
Calvin is now in the independence phase where he wants to do everything himself, from getting in the car to climbing the monkey bars. I try to be patient with most things and let him try to do it own his own, even when he struggles and gets frustrated he still wants to figure it out himself (much to the confusion of Addie who tries to be a good sister and help). Here he is with the digger at the park; he isn't quite big enough to effectively work but he is so proud of himself when he can move a handle and dump some sand.

Addie's fashion sense
This is what Addie chooses to wear to school on any given day, she loves mixing patterns and over the past few weeks is very into accessorizing. She is wearing a cowboy hat she got yesterday with Damien at the horse races, the purse Hunter brought back from Bali, beads from a bday party and the rest is courtesy of Target.

The Summer of the Beach
We have been going to the beach quite a bit this summer at the end of the day. The Seattle summer has had plenty of sunny days so Addie and Calvin are actually turning slightly blond (Calvin is really blond). The kids live throwing rocks, splashing in the sound and running all over.

Climbers
Calvin is copying most everything Addie does; even if he probably shouldn't. The monkey bars are now I e of them, but he is a little too fearless and doesn't quite comprehend how to get down and yells at me to stay away. I see a broken bone in Calvin's childhood.
