Calvin's first food

Calvin is now eating solids, his first food was prunes and he has now had peas as well. He seems to like them and smiles a lot while eating.... About half the food actually stays in his mouth.

We are trying to do more crafts around the house so I got more paints. It gets a little messy after 5 minutes but we now contain the mess to her highchair.

Calvin's Checkup

Calvin had his 4 month checkup today and he continues to be in the top bracket for height, 95th percentile (I dont know whose genes those are) and weight and head size are in the 65 percentile. So, he is going to be a tall lanky fellow if he keeps that up. While we were in there I had the doctor take a look at Addies eye since she seems to get a bad lazy eye at night when she is tired. She of course has an eye issue that needs to be corrected and now gets to go to the peds optomologist where she will probably get an eye patch to cover the strong eye so the lazy eye can get a boost in workout intensity..... She was goin gto be a mermaid for Halloween but now she may have to be a pirate with the eye patch going on; Arr!

Whale Tail Park

Damien had a run so went to whale tail park this morning. Addie always wants to be pushed higher in the swing, she very rarely gets to the max height; except today :)

Summer is here again!

Summer weather seems to be here again, if only for a while. I think this may be one of the last times Addie can wear a skirt and not be cold. We enjoyed the morning at Lincoln Park.

Whats old is new again

Our double wide is getting constant flat tires so I am back to the reliable bob stroller. Addie walked to the park but wanted to ride back, it actually worked OK too.... Until the hill at our driveway.

Tubes

Addie got tubes today. My mom was nice enough to spend the night so she could watch Calvin for the 6 am appointment (thank you!). Addie was a champ and asked to go to the park on the way home... Not even getting put under anesthesia can slow her down!

Lincoln Park

We are teaching Addie the names of all the parks so she knows where she wants to go... too often she says "park" and then doesn't like the one we choose. Here is her at Lincoln Park.

Ercolini Park

It is nice to be so close to such a great park, it can get a little crowded but if you go first thing in the morning it can be great with free reign in the sandbox and the toys! Addie enjoys the sandbox latley, but hasnt learned dumping sand on herself is something to avoid.

Beach Day

We went for a walk along Alki today, the weather is finally a little cooler which means there was hardly anyone there; hooray! Calvin slept pretty much the whole time and Addie munched on some bunnies and enjoyed being the unofficial greeter saying "Hi!" to anyone we passed along the way.

Enjoying the Sunshine!

The kids and I went to Whale Tale Park by Alki Beach the other day. Addie got to run around for a while and Calvin chilled for about 30 minutes before turning into the fusster.... Luckily I took some picks of him before that happened.
